The Dr. Richard Allen Williams and Genita Evangelista Johnson/Assn. of Black Cardiologists Scholarship - AMA
This annual scholarship provides tuition support of $5,000 to a 1st- or 2nd-year African-American medical student who expresses interest in cardiology. This scholarship was created to promote diversity in medicine, encourage commitment to eliminating health care disparities and support future cardiologists, while helping to alleviate medical student debt. This award is a partnership between the AMA Foundation and the Association of Black Cardiologists, and is funded by the founding donor, Genita Evangelista Johnson.
