American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Awards
The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) was founded in 1950 and today represents more than 20,000 practicing osteopathic family physicians, residents and students throughout the United States. The organization provides multiple awards for eligible medical students.
ACOFP & Auxiliary to the ACOFP Student of the Year Award in Memory of Marie Wiseman
This $5,000 award recognizes an osteopathic medical student who demonstrates excellence, leadership, and community service in family medicine. Nominations are solicited from the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, with the final selection made by the Auxiliary to the ACOFP and the Board of Governors.
Namey/Burnett Prevention Medicine Writing Award This award honors the best preventive medicine papers submitted by osteopathic medical students, interns, and residents. Nominations are solicited from the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine and the general student membership, with the final selection made by the ACOFP Public Health and Wellness Committee.
